The Spring Creek Kitchen Program

One kitchen, shared through the week.

Spring Creek Kitchen is a shared commercial kitchen in Ronan, run by the Mission Mountain Food Enterprise Center. Spring Creek Pizza holds Thursday through Saturday until 5. The rest of the week, and those evenings, can go to Montana food businesses, one at a time, each on its own regular days and hours.

Why a shared kitchen

The hardest parts of a food business aren’t the cooking.

Licensing, costing, equipment, marketing, and a storefront all take money and time before you’ve sold anything. A slot here gives you the kitchen and the storefront, and MMFEC staff help with licensing, costing, and marketing, so you can sell to real customers and see real sales numbers.

The schedule changes as businesses finish their slots and new ones start. When days open up, the next business is announced on this site and on the Kitchen List.

How It Works

Recipe to storefront, in three moves.

For Entrepreneurs
  1. Apply

Tell MMFEC about your food, where your business is now, and which days and hours you’d want.

  2. Claim your days

Hold the same days every week, like Monday and Tuesday from 11 to 6, for a month or two. The kitchen, the counter, your page on this site, and online ordering are ready when you start, and orders pay straight into your own Stripe account.

  3. Grow

When your slot ends, you leave with sales history, a customer list, and your licensing done. Then your days open up for the next business.

The People Behind It

Two decades of launching Montana food.

The Mission Mountain Food Enterprise Center is a program of Mission West Community Development Partners, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving rural western Montana. For more than twenty years the Enterprise Center has helped Montana producers process, package, and launch their products. Spring Creek Kitchen is where the newest of those businesses meet their first customers.
